Attract success like a magnet

Attract success like a magnet

Some people always seem to land on their feet whatever
circumstances they find themselves in. Its as though they
have a magnetic qaulity which attracts success.

You may work hard and smart and feel frustrated by watching
these fortunate few coast to the achievement of their goals
with ease. So what do they have that you don't? They are
not necessarily more intelligent able or well qualified
than the vast majority who struggle.

All failure occurs due to two easily avoidable mistakes.
How do I know this? As a result of working with people like
yourself for over two decades in helping them to achieve
their goals. You'll probably agree that in all areas of
life there are rules. If you want to be a good cook,
driver, swimmer or golfer you'll need to follow certain
rules. Substitute any activity you like for the ones that I
have used in the above example and this remains the case.

Consciously or unconsciously the " success magnets " are
following two rules. These are you cannot achieve your
goals unless you have some and you must pursue your goals
effectively in order to achieve them. Although this could
seem obvious most people don't have a correct understanding
of how to set achievable goals. Most people also find
effectively persuing their goals for any length of time
difficult. It doesn't have to be that way when you know how
to go about it.

Ask most people about their goals and they'll say something
vague like " I would like to be happy" or "I want to be
rich". "Goals" which are expressed vaguely are simply not
achievable. The person who wants to be happy must first
define what happiness means to him or her. What might make
one person happy could be stressful or boring to another.

Just knowing that you would like a Rolls Royce or a holiday
home in Spain is not enough though. You need to have a
totally clear mental picture of the things, people and
situations that you want to bring into your life.

Many years ago I read a book on success written by a
self-made millionaire, I've never forgotten his words on
this subject. They were to the effect that you should be
able to describe so accurately what you want from life that
it could be delivered to you by the relevant vendor based
purely on your description of it.

Most people's pictures of their desires are vague and
nebulous to put it mildly. Some people even waste time and
mental energy thinking of things that they don't won't.
That creates a whole set of problems that I don't have time
to go into here.

An unclear goal would be "I want a family". "I want a
partner, two children and a German Shepherd dog" would be a
clear goal. Or an unclear goal would be " I want a good
job". A clear goal would be "I want to work for an
International company. To earn £50,000 per annum and
travel throughout Europe using my creative skills and my
ability to speak foreign languages".

Having successfully formulated your goal you will now need
to persue it. The problem here is that whilst most people
start off enthusiastically this soon wanes. I have often
heard it expressed as "life gets in the way".

There is a quick and simple way of staying on track to your
goals when you are tempted to drift away from them. Write
down on a piece of paper all that acheiving your goal will
mean to you. For example the person with the career goal
won't just gain his/her ideal career but a chance to
travel, to meet new friends, to have interesting
experiences. Their life would be transformed by succeeding
in this goal. Now think of the effort required to put
together a C.V., contact recruitment consultants by
telephone or email. What's that compared to what this
person stands to gain.

You can do this with any goal. Then act; break down actions
into small bite sized steps so that you never feel
overwhelmed by them. Keep these two rules and you will find
circumstances opening up in your life, which will allow you
to achieve goals, which once seemed impossible. Finally
mentally picture on a regular basis your goals as already
achieved and you will turbo-charge your progress towards
them.

7 Practical Tips To Finding Your Life's Purpose

7 Practical Tips To Finding Your Life's Purpose

The one thing people look for more than anything in life is
their purpose in life. Finding your life's purpose does not
have to be as difficult as you may assume.

Understanding this purpose means knowing what it is that
will make you happy as well as exploit your given talents
to the fullest potential to bring you success. You have to
be conscious of why you are here and what it is you are
meant to be doing in life if you want to understand the
meaning of it all.

To help you on your voyage to your life's purpose here are
7 useful tips -

1. Finding your purpose in life occasionally means bringing
more love into your life through family and friends. There
is nothing fun about being alone. A good way to accomplish
this is to take one of your best talents and use it to help
or to guide others. This will bring more meaning to your
life in general.

2. The purpose of life depends greatly on what makes you
happy. Take a piece of paper, and write down the top ten
things that bring you the most joy in life, and think about
how you can apply them to your everyday living. For each
positive thing you add, eliminate something negative in
your life.

3. Your life's purpose can also be found by thinking about
your financial success. Almost everyone needs a job to
survive, and sadly, not many are doing what makes them
truly happy. After you have composed your list of what
makes you genuinely happy in life, pick a couple of ways
you might possibly be able to turn those things into a
career.

4. You are going to have to possess a positive attitude if
you want to have a positive outcome. Those who approach
their purpose with doubt and negativity often never find
it. This is where doing what makes you happy comes into the
picture. No matter what, you have to do things which bring
you pleasure, or else, there can be no happiness.

5. You need to take some time out of each day to give to
yourself to meditate, think, and do the things you enjoy.
This time can be as little as fifteen minutes each day. It
is important that we all do this, as it is also good for
our physical, emotional, and mental health. There is no
real joy in life when we feel weighed down by
responsibility to others and no time for ourselves.

6. Life's purpose can also be found by simply trying new
things. If you are presented with a new idea, then go with
it. The purpose of life can change direction when we least
expect it, that is why it is beneficial to always go with
the ebb and flow of things.

7. Read frequently about various things. Reading doesn't
essentially mean you pick up a book about something you
have no interest in. It can be something as simple as a
magazine article to strike your interest to learn about
something new. The more things in life you explore and
learn, the easier it will be for you to find new things
which interest you that will ultimately lead you toward
your purpose in life.

Restriction to Freedom

From Restriction to Freedom
Copyright (c) 2009 Fia Crandall

I have really had freedom on my mind a lot lately, so I
want to ask you:

How free do you feel in your life right now?

Do you feel a sense of freedom as you look around at your
life or do you feel restricted?

Do you feel free to be yourself? Do you feel free to live
life "your way"?

Looking back, in the past I experienced way more
restriction than freedom. This showed up in how I
approached new experiences, how I expressed myself and it
especially showed up in my career as I had suppressed my
true desire of doing the work I love by choosing an
"acceptable" career.

The thing is, when you have patterns around restriction, it
tends to show up in many different areas of your life.

Take a moment to ask yourself, what situations in your life
do you feel restricted in? In what ways do you hold your
true self and desires back?

Even noticing that there is restriction there in the first
place is a great start towards creating freedom.

In spite of all of this self-restriction I experienced
along my journey, I always felt a deep and strong desire to
be free. The one thing that I loved about University as I
pursued my previous Engineering Career was that you were
free in a lot of ways. You created your schedule, you chose
if you showed up or not. Of course I did, but I didn't have
to, I chose to.

And the one thing I had the hardest time with in regular
jobs were that you had to show up at a certain time and
leave at a certain time. Maybe it's not a big deal to
everyone but it always bugged me. What if I wanted to stay
up and watch my favorite show? What if I wanted to sleep
in? Too bad, no freedom here.

Now I look around at my life and I am so pleased to see
that I have created my life to be based in freedom. This
was always one of my most important values. I love that I
can go to sleep when I want, I love that I can wake up when
my body just wakes up. I love that I make my schedule. I
love that my work is a true, authentic, free expression of
who I really am. I love to experience this true freedom
every single day.

And the thing is, this freedom I now experience every day
did not happen by accident. I didn't just magically have
this life given to me.

I created it, on purpose.

Just how did I do that?

I created it from within.

I realized that if I was experiencing restriction in my
outer life, I MUST HAVE restrictions within me.

And if I am ever to experience freedom in my outer life, I
must first create freedom within.

In Light Your Path Coaching, we create freedom from within.
We identify the specific energetic patterns that are
causing the restriction in our outer reality and we shift
them for good using the Intuitive Healing Process. This
always creates a sense of lightness as you are releasing
energies and patterns, restrictions that are not really
you. This is what we do to create freedom from within.

Your Light Your Path *Shifting Higher* Action Step:

Now because freedom is one of my most important values, I
want to help you at least begin opening up to experiencing
more freedom in your life.

To start opening up to freedom, begin by giving yourself a
couple of minutes to answer the following questions to
yourself. Be honest, you can't change what you aren't aware
of.

1. What is one area of your life that feels way more
restrictive than you want it to?

2. In what ways are you holding yourself back? In what ways
are you holding your true desires back in this area?

3. Now likely things have been going ahead unconsciously in
this area. Begin now to bring your conscious awareness to
what is going on here and open to having it be a new way.
Ask yourself: What would I love to be experiencing instead?
What would true freedom feel like in this area?

4. Now there may be many different conflicting energies
within you around allowing freedom in your life. But can
you at least start by giving yourself permission to open to
a new level of freedom in this area? And wouldn't it be
nice to have support creating that freedom?

If so, express your permission. "I give myself permission
to open to a new level of freedom in _________ (area you
are looking at). I allow myself to be supported in creating
this new freedom."

A baby step but that's how it all starts.

Our lives are meant to be incredible, we really can
experience freedom in our every day. I know this because I
am living a life based in freedom now and my life looks
nothing like it used to when it was shaped by restriction.
Allow your journey to freedom to begin.
